FD Prime Lenses

Anyone used FD lenses on an EOS body?

Ive noticed on ebay that Canon FD lenses are MUCH cheaper than EOS lenses for the same specs (ie a 50mm 1.4 FD is about £30-50, but a 50mm 1.4 EF is about £200). Whats the difference apart from the fitting? Ive seen FD-EOS adaptors going on ebay, for the fitting, but am I saving money by doingn this or using inferior lenses?

oh, unemployed ;) quit my contract to focus on this project for a couple of months. see how it goes. but I'm still here, still surfing, popping by people's galleries once in a while. even helping a deviant or two with getting a web presence. all in all, cant complain :) hows you? how did the move go? nice n settled?

Yep, worked as a camp counsellor for 2 yrs at Puh-Tok. Explored MD and VA quite thoroughly over that time :)

lol. I knew I should have kept my mouth shut.
Its one of h.r. giger's designs from the film series alien/aliens etc. the legs look like skinny fingers with knuckles, very similar to the architecture of your subject. please shoot me if I'm being a geek. :(
